Remepa bv was founded in 1985 in Amsterdam.
It started out as a small cousin establishment of paper wholesale trade van Irsel bv in Huissen.
The company first settled at the Hoogtekadijk after which it moved to the Levantkade. Due to a space shortage it finally settled at the Cruquiusweg.
During this period Remepa bv developed into the biggest recycling company in Amsterdam in the field of printing waste.
In 1987 the company separated from van Irsel bv.
Under the guidance of two directors it now more and more reaches out to the far east.

To help the suppliers of waste paper dispose of their dangerous and photographic waste Remepa World Wide bv was founded in 1995. Since 2005 the name Remepa World Wide bv has changed to Remepa Environment & Advice.
This was done because the old name didn't fit all the company was doing. Besides collecting and processing waste Remepa World Wide bv more and more aimed at giving environment advice. A good example of this is that the company has started supplying and washing cotton cleaning towels in February 2004 for printing company's. This was done because several company's asked for a total parcel.
